The analysis and management of patients with osteoarthritis is a challenge for physicians of all specialities.
The main reasons bringing such patient to the doctor are pain and joint disorders. At the same time, the correlation between the intensity of pain, joint disorder and the extent of structural changes is not always available.
A wide range of different methods and products is used to achieve positive results:
from patient education, therapeutic exercises to medical products and drugs aimed at reducing pain and improving joint function.
Selective COX-2 inhibitors, chondroitin sulphate, hyaluronic acid productsand many others are well known and actively used. In this issue we want to expand the doctor's possible range to fight this disease and in the Products and Technologies column we tell about a new group of polynucleotide-based MD.
