Tecres Company has been successfully producing preformed spacers since 1996. Spacers are implants designed to temporarily replace the endoprosthesis during septic revision.
Tecres has 33 different spacers:
- 17 in the Spacer range: with gentamycin
- 16 in the Vancogenx range: with vancomycin and gentamycin
Clinical studies published in peer-reviewed journals by several international centres have shown that the two-stage technique combined with the use of a preformed industrial spacer gives excellent results from a functional and biological point of view (eradication of infection combined with systemic therapy).

TECRES SPACERS
Tecres spacer for the hip joint has a stainless steel support structure covered with bone cement with antibiotic and resembles a hip endoprosthesis.
- Spacer-G: preformed spacer with gentamycin (3 head sizes with long stem and 3 head sizes with short stem).
- Spacer-G Flat Stem: preformed spacer with gentamycin and flat stem designed to maintain the greater trochanter (3 head sizes with long stem and 3 head sizes with short stem).
- Vancogenx-Space: reformed spacer with vancomycin and gentamycin (3 head sizes with long stem and 3 head sizes with short stem).
- Spacer-G: preformed spacer with gentamycin (3 head sizes with long stem and 3 head sizes with short stem).
- Spacer-G Flat Stem: preformed spacer with gentamycin and flat stem designed to maintain the greater trochanter (3 head sizes with long stem and 3 head sizes with short stem).

Tecres spacer for the knee joint is made of bone cement with antibiotic and is comprised of two independent hinged elements. The tibial component has a flat base with which the femoral component articulates. - Spacer-K is preformed spacer for the knee with gentamycin.
